I'm an internationally recognised behavioral scientist with two decades of experience of public policy and applying behavioral science to solve real-world problems—from improving economic productivity to making online platforms safer and reducing youth violence. My passion is understanding how we can make better decisions, and how we can shape the systems and markets around us to make it easier to choose well.
As Global Chief of Innovation and Partnerships at the Behavioural Insights Team, I have built and led a team of 200+ people and advise governments, regulators, multi-national companies, and nonprofits around the world.
I'm a Senior Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics, where I teach applied behavioral science and public sector innovation. I am also an affiliate of LSE Cities where I teach on the European City Leadership Initiative.
Before specialising in behavioural science, I trained as a lawyer at Harvard Law School and worked as an economic policy advisor at the Australian Treasury and the United Nations Environment Programme.
